I am wondering if its possible for a baby to get car sick. Pretty much every time (99%) we put my son (3months) in the car he screams!!!! He is ok as long as the car is not moving but, as soon as we start to move so do his lungs. Also, he always spits up at least once but usally a couple of times when we are in the car. I have tried everything I know to do...from sitting in the back seat, reading to him (he loves his books), getting a mirror w/ lights and music, a new carseat. I need some help/advice. We rarely ever go anywhere b/c by the time we get there I am a wreck!
Oh, and he's is not by any means a fussy baby. He is always soooo easy going and so laid back so, its really got me thinking maybe he is carsick???
HELP PLEASE!!!

My daughter would do that, she is four months now. She would throw up because she would cry so much? I would go on very short trips down the street with her to get her use to the car. It helped her, worth a shot.... I know how it can be, by the time you reach anywhere you feel like you need a stiff drink! Good luck, hope it helps??

DD HATED the car until she was about 4 months or so... some babies just do. They grow out of it, though.

Ds 2 was like this and he didn't get better until he was forward facing. I really think he did get car sick because he still does if we are on winding roads. He did get better once he was forward facing, that first year was really rough.

My first born cried in the car as well. It has been quite a few years now. He is nearly 9 :( I didn't ever figure out how to help him but in retrospect I have often wondered about car sickness. He did grow out of it though. It is so hard. I remember he would cry until the minute the car stopped and then he was happy again. I really got good at finding my way around town though. I got lost so many times being distracted by his crying.
My son also had a period every evening where he would cry continuoulsy for several hours unless he was at the breast or being walked around vigorously. Hated the swing, hated the rocking chair, hated the car. I thought I would go insane at the time but now it seems like a distant almost fond memory. Hang in there!
