The dollar theater on Lorna has a bunch of kids' movies right now-
Happy Feet
Charlotte's Web
Flushed Away
Happily N'ever After (though I saw it and it is PURELY AWFUL and not worth the $1 I paid)

Plus for grownups there's-
The persuit of Happyness
and
Curse of the Golden Flower

We haven't seen Happy Feet or Charlotte's Web and I can't wait to take the kids!

If that link doesn't work, go to yahoo, click on movies (left of the screen), enter your zipcode in your upper righthand corner, and look for the Carmike 10.

Thanks for the heads up. I think I will take my older son to The Persuit of Happyness on Sunday afternoon. That is, if he is recovered from his cardboard box "campout" and fasting.

I bet Erica would love Happy Feet and Charlotte's Web. Has anyone been brave enough to take a baby to the movies during the day? How did it go? I think he would probably just sleep and eat.

I use to take my older son when he was a baby/toddler. The minute the lights dimmed, he fell asleep.

Oh, thanks so much for the heads up!! I've always wondered why they never seem to have any kids movies showing there. We've always loved dollar theaters...my hubby and I used to go on many dates during college to the dollar theater! :)

I've worn Ryan to two. I had to stand and sway for awhile in one, but it was no biggie because he was in the wrap and we were both comfy.

OK, we didn't make it, hope nobody went thinking they would meet me there. We are at the library and having too much fun to break away for a movie. Cool with me. We still wanna see Happy Feet so maybe later this week.

Is it a pretty decent theater? clean, seats in working order?, popcorn not $6?
I want to go to Happy Feet too!!

It's decent for a buck. But not stadium seats or Rave theater space, like we are all spoiled to and accustom to these days. It's the same old theater that's always been there it became a dollar theater years ago, don't remember when. I too want to see Happy Feet, but ofcourse it will be out on DVD soon but still, going to the movies is fun! I can't remember the popcorn prices but I know we bought some :corn: yum

So anyone wanna go say......Wednesday?
WE have zoo class till 3:30 but if it's still showing at 4:10 we could make that.
I'll double check times and repost later to see if anyone is interested in meeting us there.

Popcorn is still expensive. However, like most theaters, large drinks and popcorns get free refills. I bring paper cups and paper bags so my kids can share better.
